Im August und Anfang September wurden die Kollekten in den Gottesdiensten in der Martin-Luther-Kirche, der Gnadenfrei-Kirche, in Allambie Heights und Gosford für einen guten Zweck erbeten. Der Kirchenvorstand hatte im August 2011 beschlossen diese für den East Africa Emergency Appeal an World Vision zu spenden. Insgesamt kamen $3.000,00 zusammen. Nun hat uns ein Dankeschön von Tim Costello, dem Präsidenten von World Vision erreicht, das wir mit Ihnen teilen wollen:
